A COVID-19 Seroprevalence Study
COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on our children, educators and support staff.
Participate in a study that could positively affect the future.
The EnCORE study is a collaborative research project between the University of Montreal and CHU Sainte-Justine which will estimate SARS-CoV-2 infections (the virus that causes COVID-19) in children aged 2 to 17, and in school and daycare personnel. The study will also look into the emotional and mental health of children, educators and support staff.
A simple antibody blood test can help researchers better understand how much virus spread or transmission has occurred since the beginning of the pandemic. The information collected will help guide decision-making about prevention strategies in neighbourhoods, schools, and daycares. What’s more, monitoring emotional and mental health is critical as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve.

You can still participate in our study!
Our lab test aims to identify previous COVID-19 infections, even if you have already been vaccinated.
Children and Teens
For participants already enrolled in the EnCORE study who completed the 1st round questionnaire during the fall/winter, it is now time to participate in the 2nd round!
If you participated in the 1st round of the EnCORE study, you should have received an email inviting you to participate in the 2nd round. If you have not received an email please contact us at info@encorestudy.ca
On the list?
Participation is easy.
We will collect information twice, once this spring and again at the end of the school year.
Give your consent
If you choose to participate in the study, you will have to complete the consent form for the study.
Complete an online questionnaire
This questionnaire will collect information about health, including emotional and mental health, as well as household information.
Finger prick test
The study also requires blood samples using a finger prick test, performed at home.
